The Wisconsin Grocery store sold some of the items we still buy today,
such as Kellogg’s toasted corn flakes and MJB Coffee.
The cost of food in Fairhaven was expensive for its time.

Food Prices:

        Beef $.10 to $.18 lb.              Turkey $.25 lb.                 Fish $.05 to $.06 lb.

        Eggs $.30 to $.35 dz.             Butter $.30 lb.                  Vegetables $.03 lb.

        Flour $1.10 per sack              Coffee $.26 lb.                  Sugar $1.00 20 lbs.
